This Certificate in Mechatronics (Basic Servicing) course provides students with multi-disciplinary skills and knowledge in installing, setting up, operating, maintaining and servicing industrial automated production equipment and systems.
Module 1: CAD and Mechanical Technology
On completion of the unit, students should be able to read, interpret and produce geometrical, mechanical and electrical drawings using Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) software; and fabricate metal parts according to specifications in working drawings and work samples and carry out maintenance to service, adjust and align mechanical elements.

Module 2: Electrical Installation
On completion of the unit, students should be able to carry out installation and test of electrical trunking, and conduct system wiring of a machine control panel.

Module 3: Pneumatics
On completion of the unit, students should be able to install, maintain and troubleshoot pneumatic, electro-pneumatic systems.

Module 4: Electronics
On completion of the unit, students should be able to check and test industrial electronic components and simple electronic circuits using common test instruments; and construct prototype electronic project on printed board.
