This Certificate in Electronics (Computer & Networking) course provides students with the skills and knowledge to perform work involving installation, testing, servicing and commissioning of computers, data communication networks, electronic equipment and systems.
Module 1: Electrical and Electronics Principles
On completion of the unit, students should be able to explain basic principles of electricity and electronic devices, connect simple electrical and electronic circuits, hands-on on electrical measuring instruments.
Module 2: Digital Electronics
On completion of the unit, students should be able to design and demonstrate the operation of basic logic circuits. They should also be able to construct prototype electronic projects.
Module 3: Analogue Electronics
On completion of this unit, students should be able to interpret, construct, test and troubleshoot analogue electronic circuits.
Module 4: Computer and LAN
On completion of this unit, students should be able to install, test, troubleshoot as well as maintain a microcomputer system. Students should also be able to set up and test wired / wireless Local Area Network. They would also learn the various network topologies, networking protocols, and troubleshooting of networking components.
