This Certificate in Housekeeping Operations course provides students with the skills and knowledge to perform a range of operational functions within an accommodation establishment to ensure the excellent delivery of services to guests.
Module 1: Effective Communication
On completion of the unit, students should be able to handle both oral and written communication required at the workplace at a functional level. They will be able to apply communicative skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) in the workplace, in social and cross-cultural settings.

Module 2: Service Quality
On completion of the unit, students should be able to cultivate customer rapport, manage their needs and expectations, handle service recovery and promote products and services.

Module 3: 3 Housekeeping Services
On completion of this unit, students should be able to service guestrooms, perform night-turn down service and complete end-of-shift activities. They will also be trained in managing duty roster, room cleaning schedule as well as supervision skill.

Module 4: 4 Public Area and Laundry Services
On completion of this unit, students should be able to service and inspect public areas, understand the types and usage of some common cleaning machines. Students should also understand the basic cleaning process in a laundry department and note security and safety concerns.
